How do I fit Isolate?Updated a month ago
Correct fitting ensures Isolate delivers full protection and comfort. Follow these steps for best results.
Step 1: Choose your tip size
Select the size that feels snug but comfortable. If unsure, start with the smallest tip and move up until you achieve a secure seal. Four sizes are included (XS, S, M, L).
Step 2: Attach the tip
Push the memory foam tip firmly onto the metal stem until it meets the base with no gap. The tip rings on the stem grip the foam securely in place once fully attached.
Step 3: Compress the foam
Pinch and roll the tip between your fingers to compress it into a narrow shape. This helps insertion and allows the foam to expand evenly once in the ear.
Step 4: Insert carefully
Pull the top of your ear up and backwards to open the ear canal. The unique metal stem design allows you to precisely insert the foam tip for a secure and comfortable fit in the ear canal. Hold in place for up to 10 seconds while the foam expands to form a seal.
Step 5: Test your fit
You should not hear direct sound entering your ears. Your own voice may sound deeper, which indicates a correct seal. Unlike silicone earplugs that can shift or fall out, Isolate stays perfectly positioned once fitted.
Step 6: Remove safely
The finger grip at the base of the stem lets you remove Isolate easily and safely. Pull your ear up and back, twist slightly, and ease it out slowly. Avoid sudden removal.
When fitted correctly
When fitted correctly, all frequencies are attenuated evenly. You will hear detail at a lower, comfortable, and safe level.
Where it can be used
Isolate provides excellent sound protection in all loud environments, including concerts, racetracks, busy workplaces, and travel.
